Third grade is a transition year between primary and intermediate education.
Students will explore new subject areas through traditional, inquiry, and experiential learning methods. Building upon the foundation started in earlier grades, students cross the bridge from learning to read to reading to learn. It is a time of growing independence and accountability.
Third graders are enthusiastic about many new activities! Stepping into the third grade classroom, you might observe student's excitement about writing in cursive, discovering the connection between multiplication and division, or investigating light and sound.
