5th Grade

Fifth grade is both an ending and a beginning.

As members of the graduating class of Southview Elementary, students have new responsibilities. Many fifth graders participate in band, patrols, student council and Gifted and Talent Development.

Highlights of the school year include:

Track and Field Day at Apple Valley High School is always an exciting event. Students test their track and field skills against other elementary schools in May. Ribbons are given for the top ten finishers in each event. Southview Wolves Rule!

A trip to the Minnesota Zoo are part of our environmental science unit.

Patrols do many things that help insure the safety of Southview students. As a reward for their valuable service, patrols spend an evening at Skateville and also a day the Mall of America.
