Psychologist

School psychologists help children and youth succeed academically, socially, and emotionally.

They collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to create safe, healthy, and supportive learning environments for all students that strengthen connections between home and school

At Southview Elementary the school psychologist is a member of the special education team who works with students, parents, and teachers in a variety of capacities. The School Psychologist is involved in:

  • Intervention planning and implementation
  • Consultation with parents and teachers
  • Crisis prevention and intervention
  • As well as being a resource to parents and school staff for many psychological, developmental, and educational issues.
